Forums - Microsoft - Sony's Scott Steinberg: Gears of War 3 should be on Blu-Ray

If a 360 with bluray drive still be able to play dvd games it should! the problem is it would alienate early adopters of the 360 who did'nt have a bluray drive ad games that need that to play! it probably wont happen!
I can see another nextbox in 2 years with a 4 core Processor running @ 4 ghz an Ati multi core GPU with 300 plus shaders and bluray dvd player directx 10.1 ready a true nex gen exp. all with complete b/w compatiblity for the 360!
the PS3 would'nt stand a chance graphically! then sony's PS3 lifesapn could run 4 years to compete with the next 360 or 720 if you will! if not to wait 2 years and get crappy ports that run like crap on your system compared to the new system! I can dream cant I.

Sony won't wait long after Microsoft's next Xbox launch to put out the PS4.  They made that mistake once.  It'll be cheaper and no more than a year after the 720.

You have to remember the PS3 isn't in the PS2's position, the Wii is.

Getting nearly 100% of the third party support?  Not quite.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

Not quite? More like "not yet."

Wait, what is that sound?

...

Oh, that's the sound of a Sony fan admitting that the Dualshock controller absolutely sucks ass for shooters. It only comes around once every third or fourth blue moon.

Meh, people may like the Dualshock for various reasons but after using more controllers than I can count over the past 25+ years, anyone who argues that the Dualshock is a good controller for shooter games needs to be punched in the head and then sent to retard school for at least six months. Any controller that has a problem with your thumbs smacking together when you hit strafe right+aim left is not good for shooters. End of story.

Actually I think he was just saying that a Dualshock would feel wrong for the specific instance of playing GeOW since he equates it so much to playing on a 360. And I'm fine with playing FPS's and any other type of game on the dual shock, perhaps it's because I have small hands, or that I've played Playstations so much.

It could be both... But knowing many people who play games that are roughly the same age as me (and all of them have played games on at least 10 different controllers plus KBM), every single one of them thinks the Dualshock is a steaming pile of shit for shooters. Great for platformers, absolutely rubbish for shooters.

IMO, it's not really up for argument. You either hate the Dualshock for shooters or you haven't played enough games to realize that there are much better options out there and love the Dualshock by default.
