Hey, Wolf, isn't it funny that people think ten extra bucks paid as taxes are not worth saving lives, maybe including their own? I do find it funny. |
You've made several erroneous statements and/or assumptions in order to find this funny:
1 - That it would only cost "10 extra bucks" (per what? Year? Month? Week? Hour?)
2 - That without socialised healthcare, there is no healthcare.
3 - That without socialised healthcare, more people would die.
4 - That without socialised healthcare, I would not have healthcare.
5 - That the basis of my position is to save money.

Same in Belgium, you get most of your money back from the state for health treatment. It's a great system.

Socialised healthcare does work a lot better then private healthcare though

I don't really find that funny, I think it's terrifying. We are in dire need of a more solidaric society.
Nothing, really. Our greatest flaw (widespread tolerance of intolerance among our population) is quickly starting to fade away as our overly politically correct government loses ground. Yet this is all trivial, really, compared to the many good things about our highly secular country.
I'm from Sweden.
An unsolvable economic situation where the government has fudged up its revenue sources so they have nothing to survive on. That there's literally no jobs for the career I'm studying. Also, an insanely high crime rate where no one feels safe on the streets.
If I could get a really good job in another developed country, I'd go. I do really like Canada though and I'm happy here, but I do get tired of the cold.
I want to stay in my country (Spain). But with our government, unemployment rate (around 25%)... my expectatives are low. So the actual situation is forcing me to find job outside and leaving behind all my family, friends, etc. It's just sad that a lot of people in Spain are being forced to leave the country.

A false sentiment at that. |
No, a correct one.
