What fiasco happened with Mighty No.9?

The primary reason is that it is believed the money did not go toward where it was suppose too with supporters saying the MN9 looks underwhelming because of that.. A new TV series, toys, clothing... Where did the money come from to invest in that? The Beta level, while lacking style looked better. Then they had the community manager that cared more about a woman in leading role agenda than the game. Then multiple delays, then ended with more funding from a publisher anyways. Lot of sketchy shit.

Don't forget the live action movie.

Look at this video. This is the first gameplay footage of the game and though it lacks in colors, on tech side it looks bette technically (not artistically)than what we have.

They just Ubisoft'd the game, haha ...

I wonder if the reason why its lagging behind is because Mighty No.9 isn't out yet...

Is for sure at least one of the reasons, there are others also...

Inafume is branching out too fast and that creates concerns on the customers, will be he able to handle all the projects?

Was all the money of the first Kickstarter used on the game, or did he took part of it to finance the other side-related projects?

The new project looks too ambitious and the original goal gives the feeling that they are not offering a full new game but just a piece of it.

The lack of a console option from the start hurts as PC gamers have already too many options to support with their money

Those are the ones I can think of right now, even though I don't think it is necessary to have it is certainly useful to have some gameplay to show, that at least reminds the people about the original game they are trying to re-capture with the new title.

I think Inafune is spending money on himself. I mean, Soul Sacrifice was pretty popular and Sony probably paid them decent money. They probably shouldn't even need crowdfunding. For this project or Mighty No.9. Didn't know about the Mighty No.9 downgrades though.

This is also suppose to get fans into making the game as well as they were going for with MML3. Its all in the FAQ's on the KS page.

It seems like he slaps his name to these games and approves some concepts then leaves

That's pretty much what he's been doing since Megaman 5. Not sure why people are just realizing this.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I think so too. His best bet was to wait until Might No.9 came out and if it did well then he just rides on its success with Red Ash's kickstarter.
