It is the same as other games with micro-transactions, if you don't like it, just ignore it. There is another path which is grinding and getting in-game points to unlock weapons as most cases.

It is not the first game that has micro-transactions to buy new weapons and armor anyway.

Wow! Im amazed how much people are complaining about the micro transactions. Im pretty sure as most games that have them, its easy to avoid it. And it shouldn't be the deciding point of your purchase.

And look, Splatoon didn't have the content that justified the price at launch. But people still bought it.
