+ Metal Gear Solid 5, The Witcher 3, God Eater 2: Rage Burst, God Eater Resurrection and Dragon Quest Builders.
PS4 line up is looking alright in Japan imo.

That is why there are reviews, to steer us away from terrible games. And a metascore of 44 is very definitive - it's a bad game.
Now, the game that scores 65-70, with a wide range of scores and reviews (example of much debated The Order) is a game that should be played to pass personal judgment. Some people think it was great, some think it was good, some that it was bad or even crap - but they played it.
Game like this (or Godzilla) is obviously bad, why waste money and time to find out the obvious.

Well, obviously. There aren't many games on PS4 worse than The Witcher 3.

Sure, if you don't have your own opinion. The way I see it, people have no right to judge games without actually playing them. I never let other people decide if a game is bad or not - I like to know it myself. Metacritic is an excuse for people not to think.

What's wrong with the title? Game is PS4 exclusive. Game is Japanese. Game is crap, as the reviews show.
Nowhere is even implied that all Japanese games are crap, so I have no idea why you even list all those others. It just happens that two weeks in a row western PS4 gamers got treated to two terrible Japanese games. Nothing else was the point of this thread, and certainly the point was not to compare or address Ninja Gaiden or Tomb Raider exclusivity, which has nothing to do with Onechanbara being a bad game. |
so will you count the next time if there are two crappy western games in a row? i bet there were a lot of opertunieties in the past

No, what is sad is to be so anti-reviews that even games that review extremely negative every time (all Onechanbara games review poorly) still need to be tested before being called crap. I'm not playing every shitty series (which in this case is what this is, Onechanbara is absolute trash of a series) just to be able to say it's shitty.
Even the devs of the game probably know that they are making crap with these games that is aiming at nobody but horny teens/otaku.
If I didn't play/try something, I'm not going to judge it - I like to talk about stuff I actually know anything about. But that's not how it works on the internet - everyone is an expert here.
And yes, you should play it before calling it shitty - it's hard to take you opinion seriously when you base it on "well, other people said it's bad".
What's with the click-bait title? It's about a game and that game isn't even in the title?
Ugh.

No that's not how the internet works, that's how the world works. There's enough information out there about anything to pretty much know if something is decent or not, especially if the situation is as clear cut as this. Read reviews, watch videos etc. and there is no need to actually play this game to see it's complete lowbudget trash.
Even people that do enjoy this will probably easily admit that it's a guilty pleasure and in no way a good game.

If you see a brown pile on the sidewalk with flies circling around it, and it looks like crap, smells like crap and other people tell you it really is crap, then you really don't have to stick your finger in it or put it in your pocket and take it to the lab for analysis -- it definitely is crap!
It is fabulous that you have that much enthusiasm to sample every possible failed game, but I certainly don't have enough money, time and most importantly - patience to try a game like this crap.
