every mp fps would be broken.  mouse and keyboards superior controlls are the main reason why we see so little crossplattform gaming.

Isn't that the case anyway? People having scuff controllers or modified controllers for gaming? Even on PC some people have better equipment, higher refresh rate etc.

PS3 also had Mouse+Keyboard support since launch (how the hell would you have used Linux otherwise?). I played PS Home with that, was quite entertaining. But most of the time, I just didn't use it. I also can't imagine that too much games on Xbox One will support Mouse and Keyboard. But it's still nice to have, for example to browse the web from your couch or something. It may not be for everybody, but it's a nice addition for a minority of people. And I like it when companies don't always just think about the masses. 

It's surprising to me that Microsoft hadn't already made their consoles mouse/keyboard ready. This will give them an opportunity to sell these products alongside other Xbox hardware. In regards to the mouse/keyboard combination being a superior control method, I, for one, cannot utilize this capacity and would opt to use a controller unless it were a slower-paced game.

Everytime something positive is said here about MS or Xbox, 20 people immediately downplay it, try to spin it negatively or claim that PS4 has or will have the same thing soon. The constant need for validation is out of control haha!
