Wii U owners dont care is a Wii U a failure or not, Nintendo announced in january 2013. that they are working in on new Zelda game for console, so of course they expecting that game on their console and of course that Nintendo will release it on Wii U.

I think that chances are much smaller that Zelda U will get port than chances that Zelda U will not be released on Wii U at all. LIke said that would be disaster, but luckily Nintendo knows that and they will certainly not do that.


They they clearly don't give a damn about Nintendo.

If they are so vocal about them ot goign mobile or 3rd party dev the gen after they better support the system and accept sacrifices. Can't have it both ways.

You clearly understatement Nintendo biggest fans and supporters and not realising Zelda for Wii U would be knife in back for them.

If Nintendo would do something like that, it would be shot in both legs, literally, but I like wrote, Nintendo is very aware of all that and they will certainly not do something like that.

Also this statement from last month:

"We're here to talk about Star Fox but Zelda is still coming to Wii U," Miyamoto told IGN today at E3 2015. "So don't worry about that."

The first year of the NX has to have: a 2D Mario, Pokken Fighters, a new IP from Nintendo, a reimagining of a Nintendo IP (please Ice Climbers Explorers), that year's CoD, and some way to play WiiU games, either BC or digital compatibility...

Also, why is it that everytime the NX is mentioned the debate about ZeldaU pulling a TP appears? Is it really that important for the new system?

That would be pretty weak launch and first year for NX, that sounds worse even than Wii U frankly, and they need much stronger launch then they had with Wii U.

I know that the TP Wii port sold great on the Wii, but did it do great because it was a Zelda game on a bigger installbase, or because the Wii itself sold gangbusters and every of its launch games sold wonderfully?

Wii Sports and Zelda TP port were perfect combination of launch titles, and yes GC instal base was significantly laser so many Wii owners buy TP.

I dont think Zelda Wii U will get ported. It would make sense money wise, but im curious if nintendo thinks Wii U should have one exclusive Zelda Wii U title, if NX has backwards compability maybe it could play zelda Wii U like that, or maybe it doesnt have backwards combability. I think Nintendo maybe wants Zelda Wii U exclusive to Wii U so that the Wii U feel worth it.

Maybe if NX will have BC, but I think even in that case they will little change and adapt to NX hardware and make it launch title, similar like they done Wii TP version in comparison with GC version. Zelda U will be huge game and they will certanly want best launch for NX, so they will do what they can to ensure that.

I think that its not too important for Wii U to have exclusive Zelda, it's much more important to have new Zelda game and not just remaster.

Well i dont see Skyward Sword getting ported To Wii U, because that needed a good zelda game at launch. I don't underestimate anyone. I have accepted that Wii U is a commerical failure. For the greater good of NIntendo I think Zelda U should move consoles. I want th ecompany to prosper and provide me any games in the future on a successfully launched new console then worry about my feelings about one game on Wii U. There is plenty of games on Wii U for me to enjoy already. 

If Nintendo fans can't see the benefit of this then they should not be shocked to see Nintendo fail and go mobile or 3rd party.

Well Wii was their best selling console ever and they thought they will have very good launch regardless Zelda, Wii U in other hand is their worst selling console ever (similar situation like GC but worst), so they relly need very good launch and good 1st year titles. Also Skyward Sword was released one year before Wii U launch, and there are good chances that NX will be released next year in same time like Zelda U.
