the reason is because they dont have an own console. Look at any former console manufacturer who gave up their hardware bussines how they ended. NEC-Hudson, SNK, Atari. Console sales drive the software development. If nintendo wouldnt make handhelds or consoles they would be in the same situation like Sega. Microsoft or Sony wouldnt even keep making games in the first place like NEC.

nope. That ship has sailed. and as many others have said 10 million is not enough.
Well maybe if the dreamcast 2 was basically a steam machine...

They've broken everyone's trust far too many times the past decade. They wouldn't get very far.

Not to mention they need way more than 10 million lol.

10 million would have to be their initial goal, at which point they'd just redistribute recycled Ouya's with a cheap Dreamcast 2 sticker slapped onto it. $10 million initial goal with a stretch goal of $1 billion to receive a new, functioning, competitive console :D ...I'd throw in a nickel or two.

For a split second I almost thought I would till I actually stopped to think. Sega doesn't have a proper infrastructure for gaming anymore and they couldn't dream of supporting a console at this point with where they are now.
Plus I don't support kick starters.



Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Unless Sega collects the same amount of KS funds as Star Citizen, any kind of a console is out of the question. And I'm not sure even that much money would do it.

i won't support any major developer going on kickstarter. I love all the sega systems, but the sega we have now is not the same anymore. I don't believe they could make the kind of 1st party software they did in the past.
