Forums - Sales Discussion - Xbox One Outsold PS4 During E3 Week! ( In The US )

Are we doing comparisons of pointless PR statements now? I personally like the "users have spent X amount of hours on our gaming system this month" one. :D

Well the comment directly related to the post since he exclaimed one week in one reigion was inappropriate to brag about. One day in one reigon on one website is even worse.

Plus, Greenberg gave acknowledgement to the fact that PS4's Batman bundle was a huge seller. All Sony did was say "Yeah but we're still winning worldwide" in an NPD statement lol

The downplay is real.

The reason most people watched the Microsoft conference directly on twitch, was because both Europa and US was awake at the time, when Sony's press conference was,all of Europa was sleeping. I am from Europe, and watched the Sony Conference the next day. The reason Microsoft won that week, was purerly because the PS4 Batman bundle released the next week.

So with this recent article and another stating that Microsoft's console was the most watched conference on twitch, does it mean that to general consumer, Microsoft has "Won" E3? What do you guys think?

I don't know if you'r serious or not.

Of course Ms conference would be most watched than sony, sony conf was at 4 am for europeans. 4 am. I watched it next day like most of others.

And to the general consumer :

Youtube is more casual-friendly than twitch.

All it took was
Announcement and immediate availability of the Xbox One 1TB version
Announcement of free games
3 free games from the Microsoft store
Backwards compatibility
Slower PS4 sales because people were waiting a week for the Batman Bundle.

/slow clap

No. The new skew just released and announced on E3 day is what did it. The deals helped. Without it would of lost that week. All that for one week is not a victory, it's bleeding.

So happy he bought a 2nd one just because it has 1TB instead of just buying an External HDD.

Huge win MS... next year you can do it again.

Why the sarcasm, ethomaz? Your favorite company is already winning. Won't grant them anything, will you?

Don't forget Steam, Mii, or PSN!

I don't know why you guys think I hate my Xbox One. I have recommended Ori numerous times, rave about cuphead, and my love for Forza Horizon 2 should be obvious by now. I also liked my Xbox, even though it was no PS2, and last generation I was vocal about my Xbox 360 preference. I'm not loyal to any brand, I play on what offers the best experience. I'm just a realist that calls it like I see it. The reveal really soured me. Those anti-consumer policies, the forced Kinect, the dropped Kinect, and being underpowered all took their toll, and is exactly why they are in this situation. Then again I'm German, so I guess I'm just following the status quo.

How times change, i remember how they boasted every month about outselling the PS3

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
