After the last NPD the things PS4 started to be more clear about the PS4 situation in the world.

The last released numbers from Sony showed us the below situation:

20.2m as of March 1, 2015
WW UP YoY ~2%
US DOWN YoY
JP DOWN YoY

With US and JP down YoY PS4 was up WW due EU and RotW.

Now after this NPD the situation changed a bit:

US FLAT YoY or less than 1% DOWN
JP FLAT/UP YoY in three weeks

So US and Japan reached the FLAT/UP status making the trend really good for PS4 in the next semester.

Tha means WW the PS4 is mostly like UP YoY right now.

The sales will get even better because I do believe PS4 will sell more in US than it did in July, August and September last year.

Seems likely. VGChartz has PS4 at over 600k ahead of last year at this stage. Given we have firm numbers of just over 20 million by end of February, I very much doubt VGChartz is over half a million overtracked over a 4 month period.

It is a bit crazy to have PS4 Flat/Up without any official price cut yet.

If Sony put a low price after September I only can think PS4 will be UP YoY by a good margin when the year end.

How much YoY will depend on price cut... will it finally happend? Will it be 50$ or 100$ ?

Id love to see the 399$ price cut down to 299$.

While I do indeed think that the PS4 is currently up YOY, if a price cut/something big isn't officially announced before the holiday season. I think sales for holiday in 2015 will be lower than sales for holiday 2014 possibly leading to a flat YOY.

I do think even without a price cut PS4 will be flat or 1-2% up YoY.

BTW I believe the deals in November/December will be put PS4 near $320 even without a price cut.

why not wait 2 weeks for the quarterly results?

Of couse it was down yoy in Q3 (your Q1) shipment because it had supply issues at launch... they shipped 4.5m and sold 4.2m in Q3 so they needed to ship more in Q3 in 2014.

Now in 2015 they already have invenctory in Q3... so less shipment in Q4.

Said that it was UP yoy in Q4 sales.
