Forums - Gaming - Games you loved that Metacritic hated

Bionic Commando from 2009 definately deserved to do better. The metacritic goes from 69-71 depending on whether it's the PC version or a console version. It was a fantastic game and I remember having a lot of fun with it. The game sadly didn't sell too good as well which makes me really sad,I really hope there can still be a sequel one day.

I still think the game has one of the most memorable moments in any game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQINO5eh-EU

Everything about it was great, the music, the gameplay, etc. It really deserved to do better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wj94owo0kbA

Multiplayer was also huge fun, being able to swing all over the maps with your bionic arm.

The .hack//G.U. Trilogy. They all only got meta scores in the 60s and the Dynasty Warrior Games all get 60s too but I always get one every year lol.

What! That trilogy is a complete masterpiece, and I prefer Sengoku Basara over Dynasty Warriors, but it is still an amazing game.

But by now I just don't care about Metacritic anymore, since their scoring system has never been compatible with my likes.

I know right! They are such good games. The dungeons can get repetative at some points but over all it deserves at least an 80+ meta score. I wish they would make another .hack game. Just imagine what the PS4 could do for it. It would be Amazing!!!

They didn't really hate it per se, in fact some people on here would argue it got a good score. That said Other M. I freaking loved that game.

Unlimited Saga. Just kidding, I didn't like that game either.

The only example I can really think of is one that is pretty common. Kirby Air Ride.

SpinTires: 67 on Metacritic, played 63 hours according to Steam, great game.

Kung fu live: 50 on Metacritic, great for a bit of a workout during winter. Most fun Kinect game, on ps3.

Datura: 57 on Metacritic, Once it clicked it was the best showcase for a Move controlled Myst like adventure, played it through several times for the different endings. Too bad it got so critized that a full adventure game never happened.

Pixeljunk 4 am: 63 on Metacritic, loved it. Abslolute awesome to construct music and sound effects on the fly with 2 move controllers. I never expected you could get so many different sounds out if it by overlaying and distorting the relatively small sets of sound samples.

Test Drive: Ferrari racing legends: 62 on Metacritic, The classic cars and races were great

WRC 3: FIA world rally championship: 63 on Metacritic, great rally racing, had to import from Europe as it wasn't even going to release in Canada :/

Metacritic doesn't like non GT/Forza racing, and hates anything to do with motion control :/ (Unless Zelda is in the name... I hated motion controls in SS)
