Forums - Gaming - Games you loved that Metacritic hated

I believe we all have some of our favorite games that didn't score that well on Metacritic.

Mine would happen to be: Mystical Ninja 64

Easily the most 'anime' game on the N64, and it made some reviewers uncomfortable. I for one found it timelessly charming! Nothing else like it that entire gen.

It has a metascore of 68

The other could be Dante's Inferno on the 360. Totally scratched my GoW itch when I only had a 360. Metascore: 73

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Around the Network

I really liked Minority Report: Everybody Runs, but apparently most critics didn't.

Driveclub /thread.

I would have to think about it, browse my collection, and then check metacritic... nope. Too time consuming.

I am the black sheep     "of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong."-Robert Anton Wilson

The Simpsons Road Rage (67) - sure it's a Crazy Taxi clone, but it has a great sense of humor and huge replay value

Killzone (70) - the PS3 Killzone games got all the critical love, but for me the original game, with its better story, superior level design, and deeper gameplay, is much more impressive

Body Harvest (73) - a proto-Grand Theft Auto game with invading aliens - what's not to love?

Around the Network

I would not say love, but I actually liked Xcom Declassified. I don't understand the bad rep this game got.

It got 66 on metacritic. But I think it's a solid 72/75

Dragonball Z: The Legacy of Goku.

Metacritic score: 53.

Rayman M (Arena) for PlayStation 2, got 63 on meta.

Driveclub and The Order: 1886.

BloodRayne 1 and 2 for PC  (65 and 67)
