Same thing that happened to the "64" era of games. They just die quietly and something else replaces it.

I think Nintendo has already given up on the brand. And it even makes sense, as good as sales were years ago, there are horrible now. I think that's why we have not seen a Wii ____ game in a while.

My guess is Wii Sports will become Mii Sports, Wii Party will become Mii Party, etc...

Who's says NX wont be called Wii something? NX is a working title and Nintendo will change it to something terrible nearer its release.

Hopefully it dies along with all things with Wii on it. Nintendo needs to wipe the slate clean and bringing these games along won't help.

Exactly this. Miis will still be relevant, even when the NX is released. Tomodachi Life is proof of this.

They will probably keep the Mii's, but Wii Sports and the other Wii brands will be left behind.

They could just call it Nintendo Sports, Nintendo Fit, Nintendo Party or whatever, but I don't think it's really a huge concern.

These games clearly dropped like a rock in their market viability, alongside things like Nintendogs and Brain Training that also suffered huge drops this gen, so I'm not sure Nintendo even has a huge interest in making these kinds of games anymore.

They should ride the name as long as it both ties into one of the best selling games of all time and irritates those who think Nintendo should be more generic.
