First one I played was Pole position on the Atari at a friend's place.


First one I owned and completed was Hyper Rally on the msx


First one on pc was indianapolis 500, super smooth gameplay for the time.

I definitely played that, but I can't remember if it was my first. I don't think it was. Now that I think on it I think my first racer was on Commodor64 not Vic20.

Mario Kart 64 is the first one I remember. But might have played arcade racers or SNES games before that. Mario Kart 64 is clearly the first one that made an impression on me.

I played a few racing games on NES but don't remember their names but I do remember Top Gear on SNES which was my first racing game.

I played that for a year together with a friend, making all kinds of devious tracks. Devillish design where you have to drive out of the screen in front to score a point. Poor little burning man.
