They wasted their money in Mincecraft. Massive risk for something that could fizzle out with the second title.

Good, these people probably did nothing at work, but play with their phones all day.
People like that annoy me. What kind of generation is this? People are on their phones while on the job. It's good to see justice for once. M$ knows how to cut down on people like that. Other companies should lay people off that play with there phones at work, too. This is good management.

That was also a bad purchase. In total they spent almost $20bn on those 3 companies :O .
6,6% of their total workforce. That's a lot.
But expected imo since their phone business isn't good at all.

How was Skype a waste of money?
Ruler said: why cant the EU not sue MS and why is the european media and public looking away all of the sudden? first they buy a european Brand for smartphones and then they lay off the people in Finland. Werent people in europe upset when BenQ did the same thing with buying up SIEMENSs phone division and laying people off? So people/media give US companies a free pass here? |
When you buy something you should be able to do whatever the heck you want with it. Can I not buy a console and sledgehammer it on video without getting sued now? So should a company be able to PAY MONEY to OWN something and wreck if they want to.

do peoples lives are equal to plastic?
There are national rules, but their politicians dont care.
Too bad for their Nokia business and the people that work on that division. I actually liked their phones a lot. Let's see what happens to it but I don't have much hope.
Not really bad news for me as a consumer.
I hope MS becomes a company with a laser focus on fewer goals.
A better Windows means a better life for me.

$8 billion for a free video calling service doesn't seem like a very good business decision to me.
