Likely some eShop exclusives. Remember: Unity 5 supports new 3DS, but not old.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Both of these were indeed head scratchers. HW is a port and would benifit hugely from the upgrade in power, camera control and loading times. Fed. Force looks rubbish graphically and judging by internet opinion most people won't be buying it anyway.

I'm totally fine by this though.. not much incentive for me to upgrade and since NA doesn't have the original n3DS, I see no need to.
I wasn't even expecting titles like FE, Metroid, or Zelda to be n3DS exclusive or that would definitely divide userbase. Like others said, it's like the DSi situation

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
To be honest, I'm shocked that Hyrule Warriors Legends isn't a New 3DS exclusive. I mean, it took the New 3DS in order to run a pretty bad Xenoblade (Wii game) port, and yet they can get Hyrule Warriors (a Wii U game) to run on regular 3DS? What gives? Either it's a terrible Hyrule Warriors port or they did a crap job with Xenoblade.

A multiplatform game for Windows, Mac, Linux, PS4, Vita, Xbox One and Wii U is suddenly a "new 3DS exclusive"?
I think that there is too much negative backlash and controversy behind it. The sales haven't spiked like Nintendo had originally hoped, and the overall baseline has actually gone down, from what I can tell.

I'm talking about exclusive in the 3DS family, that's what the thread is about.

I would not mind if it did. I have a New 3DS XL and I would not mind further justification for owning one, even though I wanted it because it was the Majora's Mask 3DS XL. I'm surprised DQVIII was not exclusive, to be honest.

If you thought model loading and framerate in Wii U co-op was bad... if the bolded is true...

I've really liked my 3ds xl but I'm of the camp that's sick of Nintendo's practice of releasing new models every couple of years... Get the design right the first time.
I'll admit I'd rather have the new one than mine, but I'm not interested in dropping $200 for a slightly different experience. It would really bum me out if games started releasing exclusively for it, but I suppose they have to justify the new model's existence.
