Personally, I love JRPGS, followed by Fighting and Racing games. I like many different genres, but those are the ones I enjoy the most.

JRPGS though... Can't love them enough.

2D Platformers, specifically the Mega Man series, are my cup of tea.

RPG or Action Adventure.

Over the top Action RPGs are the best kinda games anyone could create.

Turn-based RPGs followed by Strategy.

So much love for JRPGS!

Metroidvania technically a bastard genre but I fall for it everytime.
I also consider 2D platforming too be the most pure form and of gaming.
I also love a good first person shooter but frankly I think it's a genre on the decline the biggest titles have become too linear and dumbed down they used to be about badass guns and level exploration. now it's all Follow the gps to the next set piece.
I also prefer turn based strategy and turn based rpgs. And they are the best combined.

I'll have to go with RPGs. I get the most enjoyment out of 'em for the money spent.
