I'd say, if the quality is there, about as much as XBLA or PSN (since it's the same kind of service)

Well I think most vc sales are by casuals that have never played before and want to play a cheap, simple game. |
I'm on the other side of the arguement.......I think most casuals hardly use the VC, and tend to buy disc based games, which is how I came to my conclusion. I think most casuals can't be bothered to set up wireless, and go online with the wii.

Does the 40% online figure differentiate between downloading VC games and downloading updates?

That would be connecting to the internet from your Wii.

I think it is how many wiis are connected to wii connect 24. i know many casuals who buy vc games , because they are cheap. It also seems you think casuals are stupid , because the way you said they couldn't set up a network which is a really simple thing to do. Especially compared to setting up a laptop to a wireless network. Idk where could we find vc sales anyway.

i guess only Nintendo knows.....but i wanta know what the top selling VC game is
I don't think casuals are stupid, I just think that most of them wouldn't bother going online with the wii. They may have it set up for laptops and stuff, but I don't think they would bother setting up their video game consoles.
I also think we have different definitions for casual. I have 3 definitions for video gamers. Casual/Mainstream/Core. Mayhaps your casual and my mainstream are the same thing?
There are top 10 or top 20 downloads of VC games released on sites like gonintendo from time to time, but they don't have actual numbers......just which ones were most downloaded. I also remember late last year Nintendo released some numbers........7.5-7.8 million downloads from the VC. Anyone remember that?
My definition of a casual is somebody that buys and plays very little games , and when buying these games only buy easy , and simple games.
I was just saying it only takes 5 minutes to connect the wii to the internet. The only problem I see with connecting to the internet is people without internet, dial up , or don't want to buy a router or lan adapter. If the wii came with internet , and nobody had dial up the percentage would be higher.
The manin reasons why alot of casuals I know buy vc games are because
A you don't have to go anywhere to buy them
B they are cheap.
Wiiware would even be better , because these games are like flash games which is all people who don't game on consoles and are casuals ever do when bored.
The main reason why I said lets look at VC was , because MAN said we wouldn't know because it's DLC which the wii already has.
