Was, back in 80s. Usual stuff, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Motorhead, Anthrax, Megadeth, Kreator...

Haha, listening to Sins of the Father made me read it as Metal Gear (Funny that Sins of the Father is also a Black Sabbath song).

Try to imagine for a second that you are far from where Motorhead's music is being played. That it takes time to reach you. And now that same music with physical properties that make it subject to other things as it flies your direction goes through rock, dirt, mudd and fire, before it reaches you and once it does you feel it has become coarser and rougher than it ever was. Then you get this:

^That shit is oven hot, released this past June 23rd. :D

Do metal phases count? I grew out of it when I was 19...

I do still have favorite metal artists, though:

Yeah I like metal, though metal is a pretty broad term now. I listen to a lot of old metal along with newer stuff. This is what I'm listening to at the moment.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I love metal. The only sub-genres I honestly don't like are Death and Black metal.

Progressive is my favorite.

Amaranthe for me are more misses than hits. Actually the song I can say I like a lot is Digital World.

Their songs's focus seems to fall heavy on the vocal aspect and thererfore it becomes a matter of whether I find their choruses catchy or not, and for the majority of them I don't.

I like the way they have three vocalists on stage though, those shows look entertaining, the same way it works for Slipknot to have all those motherfuckers on stage doing their shit.

When it comes to catchy-vocal-focused songs these is the latest band I found that I liked:

Oh yeah.  Although I'm more of an old school metal fan of Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin.

However, despite that my favorite metal band (and band period) is Tool.  I still can't get over how well they have evolved from their start to where they are now.  They have had such drastic changes in their style, but still succeed in keeping with their core.  Even their mainstream songs are incredible.

Edit: Let me try that again.

There.

Lube Me Up

Definitely not my genre. I like music without lyrics more. Nintendo is a good example.

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!
