How? If the first week is 315k, how can it surpass 500k the first week?
Yeah, if that number doesn't include special editions I can see the game reaching 350k retail and maybe 370k digital. Fantastic numbers, since Awakening opened with around 250k (and that was a huge increase in itself).

First week is stated at possibly being 315k not including special edition and digital copies. The tbone thread would 315k x (Special Edition x 2) x digital copies. Given we won't know till tomorrow.

I still don't understand? Unless you're referring to the part with the special edition being 2 copies, which makes no sense as it's on 1 game cartridge. Does that mean we count Puzzles & Dragons selling 2 copies each time it is bought, because it has 2 games on it?

2 things about the special edition,
1. It might not be included with the 315k figure (it also could be?) so if it isnt sales obviously go up, even if its only by 10k/15k/30k/etc.
2. It might be on 1 Cartridge but so is the single game sku when you download the other version as dlc. ORAS double pack counted as 2 sales for example.
That said the 500k number is shipped (which in fair wont be that much higher because of the extremely high sell thru) and is Digital included.
This is why in still can be 500k or near it FW...
(Just a quick mock up)
315k Sold Retail
20k Special Edition Sold (40k if counted as 2 games)
Shipments for the above is 340k (with 360k technically as sales)
Digital sales for both games about 50k-80k each.
That can put it about 480k-520k Week 1 right there

Okay, I think I understand now. Either way it's a very good opening for Fire Emblem. I really want to get it, but it kind of sucks that it won't be released until next year. I just hope that there won't be any censorship!

Great numbers! Maybe it has sold 400k already, combining all possible options.

Wasn't that game on the DS and PSP already?
EDIT: Nevermind, it's the third in the series. I hope it comes to the west, we surely could use more JRPGs.
that is great! I haven't really payed that much attention to FE but glad it is as big as it is!
