Project giant robot and project gaurd were listed as games with a release schedule next to other games releasing this year. They were shown as games and treated as games, even though the rest of the world saw them as tech demos. Besides, the wii u doesn't need tech demos 3 years into its life, exactly who were they trying to impress with those demos.

Who cares if a game comes out early in Japan, that doesn't take away from the fact that I still have to wait for the game in the US. Translations are as much a part in development, and the fact that Japan gets the game early shows Nintendos commitment to cater the Japanese fan base at the expense of the American one. As far as I'm concerned, FExSMT is taking over 3 years to develop since announcement, while fallout 4 is only months since announcement.

"It wouldn't be zelda if it didn't get delayed at least once." Wtf kind of logic is this. Should we start thanking developers for delaying games now? In that case, thanks Ubisoft for delaying watch dogs, you did us a great favor.

if delays are need for quality than yeah. I don't care what they were listed as, Project Giant Robot and Project Guard were never going to be released as Wii U games lol. They're just some gameplay mechanics they will force into the next Star Fox. They were tech demos, bad ones at that.

A Japanese game comes out in Japan first? No shit.

So what you and Padib are saying is that Nintendo does not show off games early except all the times they have and do show off games early?

NA is the largest market for Nintendo and they should treat it as such - the fact they don t is becoming (and has been) a poroblem for them- their market share in NA is at an all time low at a time that th market size is at an all time high

if you have to pick 4 games to even be able to argue he was 50% right you already over half way to realizing how much of an exageration he made :) The thing is he didnt' say, what you are saying. He exagerated and you have to really reach to even get what you call a 50% acuracy. instead of trying to fill things in that weren't there to get 50% acuracy, accept he was wrong with his exageration and move on.

:) Oh you.

I think it' more fair to try to understand what he was saying rather than what he obviously was not saying. He has a point, I think it's a fair point, and I think it's true. Sony is very good at presenting and that is their strength, but let's not pretend like Reggie is wrong in saying that they are capable of promising a few games much in advance.

Not a bad thing at all in my book, but not incorrect imho.

Padib:
IT is pretty obvious Reggie was wrong-  you should give up trying to defend something that can only be defended in YOUR mind but few others-  Reggie would not even try to defend his own remarks becase he knows they are BS too-

They did it once this generation, their January 2013 direct, which I mentioned in my first post.

Nintendo didn't know at E3 2014 that Zelda would be delayed, so I fail to see why someone would use Zelda as an example against Nintendo.

How's that any different to any other company that delays a game?

Because Nintendo doesn't keep delaying their games like Watch Dogs or TLG with downgrades. TLG looks just like it did in 2009 lol (that reveal trailer obviously wasn't running on PS3 hardware).

When will Shenmue 3 and FF VII remake come out? I think you'll have to wait for another 2-3 years.

As far as Zelda 2012 goes... I mean, it's clear that they used that style to pump up core gamers. Which means they know that THAT style is what people want. Yet, when it comes time to make it? They go cartoon/cel again.

Why? This is the second time they've done this. I just don't understand.

It was a tech demo, if you thought it was real than that is your fault.

There's a difference between rendering one room and an open world.
