South Park is more intelligent and actually has something to say. Family Guy too often relies on gags that have nothing to do with the plot of the episode. (Yes, they're often quite funny, but still...)
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

That is just what Southpark wants you to think, (yeah I too saw the Family Guy episode) just because Southpark copys of stuff from the news does not make it more intelligent or relevant... just more predictable... that sayed I like both shows but Southpark has had more bad episodes than Family Guy IMO but its a question of taste so...
South park is a great show and has a lot of relevance. Family guy started off as a halfway watchable show and quickly went down hill.
I'm a pretty big South Park fan, if you don't know who the woodland critters are... well you just don't know how f'd up Cartman really is.

I love both shows! One of my fave scene from family guy has to be the scene with stewie and brian in which brian owes stewie $5 and stewie just beats the living shit out of him exclaiming 'Wheres my money man! Wheres my money!' That and the 'Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd meeting' remake!- Tooooo much!. As for South Park there are just too many episodes I loved!

These are my two favorite shows. South Park is my favorite show. I love how the main writer is a libertarian and how the show is usually libertarian when it gets political. It is also amazingly funny. Cartman is my favorite character but I like all 4 stars. The Imagination series was my favorite. I love how they made fun of Bush's war on terrorism.
Family guy is always a laugh. I enjoy how the show sometimes uses libertarian ideas. Also, the singing is fun and the theme song is one of the best ever.
