Forums - Nintendo - Reggie: A Physical Option Will Always Be Available

I'm okay with either.

Fair enough. That's certainly true now. In the future, who knows. "The future" is a very long span of time. One day the idea of transferring digital data physically might be incredibly quaint to people.
Of course Nintendo, your bullshit price parity would make it very hard for people to see the point of moving to digital, wouldn't it? let's not forget that nasty, little, self-fulfilling-prophetic detail.

"Always"? Why is he lying for no reason. Physical games will be a thing of the past in 10 years at the latest, probably already with next gen.

I have been leaning more toward digital just recently, I have a 2TB hard drive for my Wii U so I have no storage issues. With Wii U not being too popular these days in the UK, some games are getting harder to track down in stores (Need for speed U being a perfect example). However most are readily available in the E shop so it saves me having to go from store to store to find games.

But cartridges...  Nintendo still uses those.

Because ISP data caps and slow download speeds.

Most sensible thing he's said in a while.

I prefer physical with 3DS and Wii U because Nintendo suck when handling digital these days. Digital only for PC though.
