Forums - Nintendo - Where are the big third party Wii games?

It wont have that kind of support even leading the hardware sales .

Look at it this way ....X360 software for february 180 millions ,PS3 software 97 millions ,Wii 130 millions .So creating a cross-plattform game for PS3-360 gives you access to a 277 million-a month/(and growing ) market plus the PC data and creating it for the Wii a 130 million business mostly dominated by Nintendo .Of course you can create some friendly game as Guitar Hero III and sell loads of games ...or churn out some low budget games and earn a lot of money.Or ports from the PS2 ,DS or PSP .But in the way of original high-budget games for the plattform ...I dont see that happening anytime soon .

Deja vu... " PS3 / Sony domination starts in... "

Original high-budget Wii exclusives will pick-up (as will PS3 sales) when the PS2 is completely phased out.

I think the Casual and Mini-Game market is going to collapse in on itself sometime this year when sales of that crap will plummet because of over-saturation. More hardcore games will take off in that wake, and the developers smart enough to jump into the ring with high-quality, more hardcore titles will benefit. Even casual gaming Wii owners will want something new eventually.

Diomedes, you are always there to criticize Nintendo, remember Wii hasnt got almost any release neither on January or February, while the 360 had a lot. You dont take into account that 360 has a bigger userbase either. Come back after March NPD shows up.

Before long it will be a year and a half into the Wii's lifecycle and at this point it STILL doesn't have the sort of library that you expect the market leading system to have. Is E3 the big announcement platform for third parties? Considering the shadow of its former self that it now is, I wouldn't be betting as much on it as in previous years. Spin it how you want, throw the excuses up all you want, but take it from someone with a soft spot for Nintendo: It's a seriously bad sign that third parties STILL haven't thrown anything much decent behind the Wii (perhaps Capcom excluded), and I honestly doubt it's going to change. WTF is the deal?

How bout Call of Duty 5, Guitar Hero IV, Monster Hunter 3, Alone in the Dark, Fragile, Madden, Rock Band, Final Fantasy: CC, Ghostbusters, StarWars: The Force Unleshed, or ToS2?

Those are some pretty substantial 3rd party games, no?

I think he was talking about about exclusives and recent annoucements. Out of those. only MH3 is kinda recent.

And Words of Wisdom is far from a PS3 fanboy.

But the Wii is getting some good third party games, although of them end up being multiplatform.

Because you can't put patience in your Wii and play it.

But you can play with patients!

Wow, from a PS3 fanboy, really? I thought the PS3 fanboy cheer was "Just wait."

Can you put Brawl on the Wii and play it? Read my last post, if you doubt.

Am I misreading your post or did you really just call me a fanboy?

Yeah, and its not like no one complains (or -ed) about the lack of games for the PS3 and the 360 in the beginning. I never expected the Wii to get these monstrous 3rd party behemoths any earlier than others.

That said; I've always maintained that 3rd parties will mostly abuse the Wii for quick cash and short stick gamers with cheap-to-make games thirteen on the dozen. Its rather sad, and it really makes me think twice about getting a Wii regardless of how awesome the first party titles are!

Lol@ calling WoW a PS3 fanboy, that's not exactly spot on to say the least.
