Forums - Nintendo - Monolith Soft would help with Zelda U

This is good to hear

Today we have found out that Monolith Soft were one of the teams to help Nintendo out with Splatoon. Now the company says they would work alongside Nintendo to help out on The Legend of Zelda title for Wii U, if they were needed. Tetsuya Takahashi, the director of Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenogears and Xenosaga, says that his team is always on hand for support if required.

Monolith Soft seems to be everywhere, they helped Nintendo before with Skyward Sword, ALBW, AC: New Leaf, and now Splatoon. This is indeed great news, seeing as they have the talent to make open world games they could easily help Nintendo with the new Zelda.

Please do. And make a new IP of your own, would be great to see!

Yes, they obviously need it.

Is it me, or does Nintendo make less of their own games than they did during the NES/SNES days?

Which Monolith Soft Studio team? Probably not the one that made xenoblade.

If so that is totally unsurprising as one of the teams (the smallest one) is created purely to co-develop games with Nintendo EAD.

Monolith Soft is owned by Nintendo, so either way it's Nintendo that's making it.

No no, only EAD counts for some reason. Even SPD wasn't "Nintendo." And the jury's still out on this "EAD Tokyo" nonsense.

They help with everything. Good going :D

I mean't Nintendo's own studios. Not studios that they bought.
