The only thing that could kill this game from receiving a 90+ on Metacritic, and GOTY honors, is the obvious microtransaction abuse for hats.

I guess that's really where the sticking point is, definition of indie. For me, it's basically an independant studio (no massive publisher looking over their shoulder), so in that regard, even CDProjekt Red (Witcher) is indie.

That's telling there. I don't know the true definition of an indie. I had an assumption, but never cared to look it up. I thought you had to have a big budget to be considered triple A. CDProjekt is an indie?! If they are, then they make the best indie games on the planet. LOL

Honestly though, PS4 had the better indie showing at E3 imo. No Man's Sky and Firewatch are better than any of the indies that MS showed, except for Cuphead.
