Wish I could Photoshop a pic of Marcus Fenix into Super Mario Sunshine....
Gears of war was the first game I played on my new 1080p HD tv. It looked awesome at the time. This new version doesn't look like how I remember it. It looks good but doesn't feel the same. It's like making Windwaker HD all grey and moody.
I guess you can always dial the saturation way down, decrease the brightness and up the contrast on your tv :)
If your tv supports seperate adjustments for red, green and blue though. And it doesn't work on the outdoor scenes as the sky should be left intact. Maybe they could add a simple original style filter in the game.
People complained a lot about Gears being to dark and grey like almost any game during that time.

Yep but let's not exaggerate from the water in a multiplayer map to say the game was downgraded. That is definitely not happening.

Not saying it was downgraded, logic dictates that the game was of course upgraded (it's 1080/60 now after all, that alone would constitute an upgrade) but I'd still like to know the reasoning behind that water change.

What? That picture was real? They definitely need to do something about that. It REALLY does look like a bad last gen game at that point.
The PS5 Exists.
