Animal Crossing... Because it's shit right after MP10, which was shit and uses the same amiibo dynamics for the game which are complete shit. Have to touch an amiibo to the gamepad every time you do anything for the damn game. Roll dice, touch amiibo, register you are there for a mini game, touch amiibo. It says your character name, touch damn amiibo! Far more hindrance than fun.
I was disappointed and surprised by Federation Force, not pissed off. That game at least looks good.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
I think the difference is Federation Force is a random game that they just tacked Metroid Prime onto. For the Animal Crossing reveal they made it look for all the world like they were revealing Animal Crossing Wii U, until you saw the board game squares.

Really, this comment is interesting because it's taking everything the wrong way.
Guys c'mon. This is Nintendo's future strategy. It's not a bad one. This is like getting mad at g4 for going after more ratings. This is a business.
g4 was great when it was all gamer-focused, but the fact is the ratings simply weren't there. It couldn't be sustained. They did a really killer job but in the end it wasn't enough. Seriously tell me you could make a better gaming channel than g4.
The fact of the matter is that there is soooo much direct at-will content available on youtube and twitch and a host of other networks that it doesn't make sense.
While you may be like, "what does that have to do with Nintendo". Think about it.
Nintendo has done an amazing job in the past at making games. They are chasing a market that will pay out better for them, given the really brutal competition who are willing to take losses on consoles. They've been doing this since before the wii. It's not like this should be a surprise to anyone. Like, yeah, I know people loved the wii. I thought it was an alright console. It had some good games, but primarily it wasn't for the gaming market. It just so happened to have enough to satisfy nintendo gamers.
Animal crossing isn't an excuse to make more amiibo. Games like this new animal crossing are the future of nintendo. Make smaller games, increase the number of releases with just simple fun gameplay and brand them with nintendo characters. Disney does this, Lego does this. Why should anyone be mad at Nintendo for simply doing what they've been doing for almost a decade now?

I think Animal crossing the board-game, looks better than the new Metroid does.
I can imagine sitting down and playing that for fun (thought not often) as a casual game when theres short time and you just want a relaxing way to pass time for abit. Also supposedly its free? and you just buy the amiibos?
I think thats a alot better than the metroid that was shown.
Who wants a 2v2 (4player) soccer multiplayer version of metroid?

To be honest there was a rumor by a guy that apparently know his shit about NLG that they are also working on a WiiU game that might has been transfered to NX. Federation would thus only be a side project and this is why I feel like the amount of hate is way exagerated. Animal crossing AF on the other hand, that look like zero fun! Wouldn't suprise me if ND cube were working on it, they don,t seem to know how to innovate lately so they seem to have decided to reduce the amount of minigames to make it different >_<

Neither.
Its a MULTIPLAYER METROID PRIME. How could there be a SINGLE Samus? Not possible.
Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival : the game is - as I know of - for free and you need to buy the Amiibo. Which most of us will do anyway. And those Amiibo are to great for Animal Crossing fans to miss.
So AC:AF is of great value and I can't think that Nintendo won't make it fun.
At least Federation Force looks fun. At this point, party games are garbage especial if you need DLC to play,
