I don't want to see any games remade. I want new games.

Back in those days, games were hard.
Metroid II Return of Samus
Final Fantasy VI
Chrono Trigger
Shenmue 1-2 (mostly adjusting the controls and upgrading the visuals to today's standards)
Seiken Densetsu 3
Skies of Arcadia
Zelda Ocarina of Time (on console, not handheld!)

Maybe in 20XX?
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
1. Chrono Trigger
2. Ocarina of time
3. Final fantasy 9
4. Legend of dragoon
I think they should reboot the mega man x series. Reboot Ninja Turtles with rocksteady studios as the developer.

A high difficulty's all well and good, but in my opinion things like maps are a must--not just a crutch. Sometimes things can be difficult, but not in a good way.
Legend of the Dragoon. Never got to finish it since one of the discs were screwed up.
Snatcher, Valkyrie Profile, Brave Fencer Mushashi, Chrono Trigger (Final Fantasy VII treatment), EhrGeiz, Einhander, Vagrant Story, TMNT IV: Turtles In Time, Lost Oddessey, Folklore, Jade Empire, Legend of Dragoon, Banjo Kazooie, Super Ghouls and Ghosts, EarthBound, Viewtiful Joe, Mega Man 2, Jak Reboot, Sly Reboot, Fez, Super Meat Boy, Shadow Complex, ThunderForce, Altered Beast, VectorMan, Streets of Rage, Shining Force, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Castlevania: Symphony of The Night, Pitfall, Missile Command, and Heavenly Sword.
I know you stated one OP, but there are simply too much for me to pick from; more I did not type due to fatigue.
