A player, not likely.

A epic failure probably, it will be hilarious to see MS try to pull a wii next gen.

They are a software corp that just cant make hardware worth a damn, why not just make games for everyone else.

Just imagine all the game devs thay could have aquired for all their hardware costs.

They have carved themselves out a moderate success this generation, why wouldn't they be able to do it next generation?

Frankly, we don't know how much xbox is actually making for Microsoft. Zune has been selling well after the launch of Version 2

 More like a pointless addon.  Is it hard to differentiate beween a controller and a console ?

 If MS makes a cheap low cost waggle console they will effectively piss of all their hardcore shooter fans and thats all they have.

No it was Sony trying to copy Nintendo and it backfired on them and made them look like fools at E3.

As for Microsoft I guess we'll have to wait to see what they do next gen but at least we can be sure they won't copy the epic failure Sixaxis design.  What was Sony thinking?  LOL :)
