You should read his posts again. He said that evidence/reports show it's better than the original.
When I was playing it I was l like that screen tearing...that framerate.
It gets worse if you keep reading. I'm very sensitive to screen tearing, so I'm glad this article came out to verify the problems I had.

Nobody can say ME1 runs better on Xbone... it runs way worst than the original on 360 (the original already have a lot of pop in and screen teraring... the Xbone emulation makes the things worst).
The only think is better is the loadtimes.
| jlmurph2 said: Its a beta. The point of them is to find what's wrong and report. Which we are doing as preview members. |
Whats wrong is the 10 FPS framerate. I was expecting better and like everyone has pointed out, this doesn't bode well for something like GTA. I mean, PSNow runs at 30 FPS. I hope it improves but for now I think plaing on Xbox 360 is the best approach.
| Zappykins said: Good grief, VGC never fails to disappoint. Let's whine about something cause it makes a bunch of people happy and works well. Nope, seems to run better - and this isn't even official on the console yet.

Obviously, certain parts run better and others run much worse as evidenced by the performance analysis. The Wii U is true BC. Thjs is not. Can you imagine the later games though. BioShock Infinite, Halo 4 and GTA5 seem really far away.
Also has anyone tried multiplayer? Thats not gonna work here with 10 FPS
| Burek said: Yes, truly a game changer. As they start adding newer games (assuming they ever do) I expect them to play worse and worse. MS got their headlines, someone might actually get tricked into believing them, but in the end BC will be another disappointment to most. |
Why would game play worse and worse? Later titles were better optimized.
Early 360 games had poor performance.

I think that while developers obviously got a lot cleaner with their code they also pushed the 360 a lot harder and go way more juice out of it. So even if the engineers extract better performance out of the virtual machine it sounds like it is going to struggle with the best and brightest that 360 had to offer. |
In 2007 Mass Effect was one of the best looking titles I ever saw. I thought it was pushing the 360 to its full potential. Boy was I wrong. Mass Effect 2 was significantly more polished. It did the better visuals with ease.
The don't think the emulator is gonna have trouble running any game. Remember, these early games are sluggish on actual 360 heardware and relied on screen tear for a smoother frame rate. Since the X1 emulator has vsync enabled, those games negatively impacted.

You're actually very wrong.
The frame rate is worse on X1 primarily due to lack of screen tear. However, the X1 version has little texture pop in and faster load times.
So pick your poison. Better frame rate on 360 or better textures, faster loading, and no screen tear on X1.

These games do tax the 360 because they're poorly optimized.
Hence, well optimized games should work fine on the emulator as well.

Actually it bodes very ery well for them. ME was a really poorly built game, games that utilise the DX API's in more standard manner with efficient engines and a consistent experience on the 360 "should" be far easier to get a similiar or better experience on the One. For such an early beta it is astonishing that it works as well as it does considering the VM will be riddled with both bugs and a lot of debug code which will affect performance, it is looking very interesting, though useless to me till I see the couple of games I really want listed.
