Forums - Sony - Xbox One 2015 vs Playstation 4 2016.

Which is the better line-up

Xbox One's in 2015 87 22.89%

Playstation 4's in 2016 293 77.11%

Total:380

I don't like the genres of these games, forza, GT7, ratchet & clank and street fighter. Rare Replay is one of those collection type of games I just don't care for.

I hate the IP, Fable. I think the humor in it is childish and the games are really short compared to other rpgs.

So for me the real contest is between Halo, gears and tomb raider vs uncharted, horizon and the last guardian.

I choose the PS4 based on my personal preferences. I like rpg and action/adventure games more than other genres

Xbox One has a stronger lineup sales wise, though it's really close. Playstation's lineup, if it holds have a few unknowns when it comes to trying to predict sales.

I disagree, TBH only Halo and Forza have a chance of passing 2mill on XB1 Tomb Raider could with combined 360 sales. I believe that Gears:UD will do 1.2/1.5 LT and that Fable Legends will bomb even if it gets good reviews.

Fable Legends is F2P. It quite potentially has the best chance of making the highest revenue out of any of the games listed.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Playstation for me.

I mean Forza is yearly so I value it as much as MLB on PS4. Gears of War is a remaster. Tomb Raider is coming to PS4 (in 2016 so I guess it still counts for 2015). Rare Replay is just some old games being ported. Not into Fable. Halo is cool.

In fact I think Playstation 4 has a better 2015. I really enjoyed the Order, Bloodborne is fantastic (though not my genre), Until Dawn, Tearaway Unfolded, Uncharted Drake Collection, and MLB (once again to balance out Forza). I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

But for real, you might be onto something :)

Xbox 2016 line up is bigger than 2015 imo besides Halo and Tomb Raider. XB1 2016 ReCore, Crackdown, Scalebound, ForzaH 3?, Quantum Break and Gears 4.

What I was about to type, why compare Xbox 2015 to PS 2016 when Xbox has plenty of great exclusives for 2016 too?

I mean obviously Until Dawn and Tearaway could be bad and Halo could be God's gift to manking but I'm just saying it's possible and for me personally probable.

What we have to keep in mind, is that this is literally all Xbox One have for 2015 + Ori and Screamride. Playstation 4 still have tons of other games like; Persona etc.

if we're going to count Forza every year we have to count MLB for Sony.  The yearly sports franchises should really be left off any list imo

On numerous occasions Phil Spencer has stated that Xbox One's line-up in 2015, is the best in Xbox history, and in some ways I agree. But that got me thinking, if Xbox One's line-up in 2015 is thé best in Xbox history, then what is Playstation 4's line-up? To me Playstation 4's line-up in 2016 is far superior.

I am interested to know which line-up you think is the better one.

*I know this is coming, so let me get ahead of you all. No, this thread is not about Xbox One 2015 vs. Playstation 4 2015 or vice versa, this thread is about which line-up you think is the stronger one and if you agree, that Xbox One's historic line-up indeed is better than what Playstation 4 has coming. Thank you.)

You forget this one for 2016 :

Star Ocean 5

And many more digital games like Fable Legends

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

No Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport are both different games even if they do share the name Forza. One is a Racing Sim and the other Arcade open world Racing game.
