"The great side of PG" what the fuck does that even mean? Bayonetta and W101 weren't made by the same people. And the only people who are disappointed are the ones that didn't give a shit about the game to begin with. You clearly haven't read any impressions on the game's E3 demo.

Yeah, it is your mistake.

And the game is made by the director of Bayonetta 2, that was confirmed.

Where ? Link ? Because i found the total opposite, pG would only be a team to help finish the game, nothing else http://www.gamespot.com/articles/e3-2014-nintendo-wii-u-star-fox-hands-on-and-miyamoto-q-a/1100-6420327/

It means not the side who makes games like Korra, and anyway, PG doesnt really have a creative role in the game, they are just here to help to complete the game : "This is a game that we've developed internally up until now, but because we do want to bring this to market very soon, we are looking at some potential partner companies that we can team up with." However, Miyamoto also assured fans that he "will be directly in charge of the project," regardless of what other studio Nintendo partners with. I read, and i can link you to some impressions, well not in your language i guess, but link me some good impressions because all i see since this announcement is very bad impressions from the press or the gamers

The people who are making Star Fox didn't make Korra. You're literally making things up now.

I've also read numerous tweets from gamers saying they enjoyed the demo.

It's all about quality and not quantity. Bayo 2 and smash both got over 90 on metacritic. The only one that may be able to do that is mario maker.

Given the graphics and development time for starfox, it seems clear that that game will sell mainly on nostalgia.
FFV and Xeno X are both niche japanese game and I doubt they will sell a lot (xeno x may be big if it gets great marketing though). Yoshi and Mario tennis will sell moderately well, but they are both clearly small spin off series compared to smash. Animal crossing is also a free title, so how will you measure the "sales" of that?

Ultimately mario maker is the only "big" title of that list. Having zelda would have mitigated this issue, but it didn't have to be zelda, it could have been metroid or a new IP

I also don't know why you are limiting it to holiday 2014 to 2015. Adding in mario kart 8 and Donkey kong tropical freeze clealy blows away this year's releases

In this case, it's not all about quality though. Bayonetta 2 was one of the highest scoring games last year, but it didn't sell fantastically and it didn't really move systems at all. Star Fox and Xenoblade will almost certainly do more, despite scoring less, and that's due to marketing/nostalgia.

Animal Crossing is getting a retail release that's bundled with amiibo figures and cards, so I'm fairly certain that will be tracked.

And your last point is just an opinion.

Bayo 2 did not sell a lot, but it has done a lot more in stirring controversy and getting people to buy a wii u just for bayo 2. That is clearly not going to happen with the other 2 games you mentioned since the audience for xeno x and star fox probably already have a wii u.

Animal crossing will be tracked, but it is still a free to play budget game whose quality does not compare to last years game.

Yes my last point was an opinion. I do think it is valid, however to compare the full years list rather than the holiday lists

The director of Bayo 2 was Hashimoto. The director of Star Fox is Hashimoto. A quick google search will lead you to this, or you can even go to her twitter page.

Clearly that's not the case since the week Bayo 2 released, there wasn't a noticable change in Wii U hardware sales. And how do you know it won't happen? Star Fox has been dead for a long time so if people see there is a new game, they'll want to play it. And Xenoblade is likely to get a lot of marketing in the west, so that can move systems too.

Again, quality isn't a problem here. Animal Crossing is a huge seller, especially in Japan. Even though it's a budget game, it's still going to sell.

If you want to compare the full year then make a thread about it. Clearly that's not what this thread is about.

Strange, it seems it wasnt the case last year. Well, with all these mixed impressions between good, conflicted and bad, we'll have to wait to see when it comes ou

Exactly. It's still in development, after all.

I think people need to look at target audience before jumping to conclusions... Smash and Kart target the same set of people for the most part so yea, the smash boost wont look like anything when most jumped in with MK8. Star fox is aiming for a different target audience which should lead to a bigger boost. With fatal frame and xenoblade which are also targeting a different set 2015 should be bigger than 2014.

2015 holiday line up looks pretty solid and, yes, I think it'll sell better than last year's.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

The only bad impressions are from people that didnt play the game at all, and only because the graphics, the coments from youtubers and journalist that played the game are promising.
