Bayo 2 did not sell a lot, but it has done a lot more in stirring controversy and getting people to buy a wii u just for bayo 2. That is clearly not going to happen with the other 2 games you mentioned since the audience for xeno x and star fox probably already have a wii u.
Animal crossing will be tracked, but it is still a free to play budget game whose quality does not compare to last years game.
Yes my last point was an opinion. I do think it is valid, however to compare the full years list rather than the holiday lists
