You seem to expect every Nintendo game to be a 9 or 10. Those are completely reasonable scores.

No, Splatoon was a 7.9 because they don´t even counted splt zones on the review, a mode that was unlocked 3 days later...
It was a 7.9 because the game was rushed and lacking content, and now we know all the content was already on disc, and just 3 weeks later we had 3 new maps and 5/6 new weapons, so the review is outdated and useless right now.

They can only review what they are given, it is Nintendo who have decided to release content in an awkward way. Don't think Splat Zones would have added much anyway, it isn't that good.

The game is average.

You've played it?

What I saw from the footage was very well polished.

Epic Yarn had 86% and this looks much better. Reviewers are out to get Nintendo this year. But they have no problem dropping 10/10s for games like TW3, Batman Arkham Knight or Bloodborne.

Then reviewers should update their reviews when all the free updates have released, but we all know they won't. Splatzones was available to reviewers btw.

Didn't know you owned a Wii U btw?

what's with the boss battles that IGN doesn't like. and only a few great levels?!
will watch the video later at home but it seems the score is low considering Yoshi's cuteness. :)

87.

I just remembered I forgot to preorder this with the amiibo

I honestly don't know what to predict the review score will be but tbh I don't really care

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

IGN dropped a 7.4.

....

incredible, after the 7.9 on Splatoon they come with this...

Yeah, it was a little surprising considering the review seemed very positive.  Even Kirby's Epic Yarn got a 9.0.  Maybe they're just tired of Nintendo 2D platformers?

IGN video review is very strange.

He spends 80% of the time talking about the game like is a wonderful thing, it really seems like they are going to give it an 8/9 and then, they complain about the bosses and the best levels being locked until you collect a certain nuber of stuff, and the score goes down to 74... They even say that Nintendo has done a better work with this than with Epic´s Yarn and they gave it a 90 to that game...

OK
