Only when at least five huge games that I wanted were already on the shelf. Buying the Wii U based on what I ASSUMED would later come ended up leading to some...feelings. I still love the thing, but I would have gladly waited for a more reasonably priced bundle and more games. Instead I shelled out $350 and ended up doing a whole lot of waiting.

never. You will never get good software support on a nintendo console. Even wii was much worse then ps360.
almost no wii games in 2010,2011,2012. No wii u games in 2013, first half 2015. Nintendo cant support a console on theirselfs andi doubt they will get third partys back soon.

He said it would be a unified concept so all handheld & console games playable on either device, meaning u have to take into account both sides of Nintendo's output. Here is the list of Nintendo published titles in 2015.

Flipnote Studio 3D

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

Pokémon Shuffle

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars

Codename S.T.E.A.M.

Mario Party 10

Fossil Fighters: Frontier

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D

Boxboy!

Pokémon Rumble World

Amiibo Tap: Nintendo's Greatest Bits

Stretchmo

Puzzles & Dragons Z+Super Mario Bros. Edition

Splatoon

Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure

Art Academy: Home Studio

Little Battlers Experience

Devil's Third

Super Mario Maker

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

Chibi Robo!: Zip Lash

Yoshi's Woolly World

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon

The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes

Yokai Watch

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash

Star Fox Zero

Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival

Xenoblade Chronicles X

That's 30 titles in a single year, 2013 & 2014 look pretty similar as well.

this is alot shovelware and if they increase the handhelds hardware on wii us level they wont be able to put that many good titles on handheld as they do know. nintendo is just one publisher. they cant.

Nintendos ead teams are 50-100 men strong. their biggest project was zelda skyward sword with 120 ppl involved.

on games like the division or star citizen 400-600 people are working on. nintendo cant compete on this level.

1. You have to tell me the price.

2. I need to know the launch games.

3. Does the hybrid system come with the handheld and console packaged together or seperate.

4. I need to know what games are coming after launch.

5. How's the third party situation.

Sorry I don't know how anyone can answer this question with so little details unless they just blindly go out and buy whatever Nintendo makes or refuse to buy anything Nintendo makes.

Well that's enough info for a console purchase...I don't need to know what the games are just that they were made by Nintendo...

If we make this same poll next year (when Zelda Wii U is at E3 and hopefully they learn from this year and go in full force) I wonder what this same poll will be then?

Well, if Nintendo go all out at launch, and if I have enough money, then day 1. Imagine a Nintendo console launching with Zelda, a 2D Mario, a 3D Mario, a Mario Kart, a 2D Metroid, a 3D Metroid, an F-Zero, a Star Fox, a Super Smash Bros., Splatoon 2, a Fire Emblem, an Animal Crossing, Mother 4, a Kid Icarus, a Pokémon, a Donkey Kong, a Kirby, a Yoshi, a Wario Ware, a Punch-out, an Ice Climber, a Xenoblade, a Pikmin, a Duck Hunt, a Yokai Watch and 3 new IPs...which will never come close to happening, but it would really tempt me!

For the people that said "Nevar!"
How can you possibly select that and say you are a gamer? It could end up being the most amazing system EVAR! lol. Bias much :P
For those that chose it as a joke... well I guess I just wasted my time typing this lol

I'll throw out a general comment of fan boyism. SOME people will rule out buying their brand of choice in spite of anything. Notice how whenever there is a good anouncment on one side, the other side bands together to downplay it?

In any case I chose Never because nintendo consoles have been a poor choice for general entertainment for years now. I used to get all brands but from the wii generation, Nintendo Stopped caring about parity as the wii's games looked like Game cube games. That was the begininng  of the end in third party support. And I grow tired of Nintendo's rinse and repeat reahashing of their old games.

The same thing happened with the wii u, but it's far wose. a console that's support has been dropped in such a short time and a new one released in the middle of a generation has doom written all over it.

Even if they manage a system more powerful than the ps4 and regain the 3rd party support they were lacking, I'd consider it a dead investment. For one thing, I believe I have bought my last game console. With each generation it feels more and more of a waste to get a console over a pc.

I don't know how else to say it, but I honestly don't see it being a worthwhile investment.

^Yes that's me ripping it up in the GIF. :)

Yes I will... but I hope it's a 2017 launch.

The sad thing about this is  that it's actually believable after seeing this year's E3.

I probably won't get NX. I bought a Wii U at launch and out of all of its software only 3 were must-buys for me and the console is already ready to go out. I look forward to two more games on it but after that I don't think I'll care for another Nintendo console.

My reasons for buying Nintendo's next handheld is limited. I've lost interest in Pokemon again after the revelation that was X/Y and their handheld hardware is way behind the times. Their $40 games look worse than free games on smartphones. That's not good at all.

That's a shame to hear, but as with any system, I think you are missing out on a whole lot of great games, maybe you just need to be less picky about what 'kind' of game you play. Some are really great. I can think of about 10 must buys on the Wii U.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
