What a disgusting reaction.

Honestly, I wonder how weird this must be for Next Level Games. From Nintendo heroes for making Luigi's Mansion 2 which everyone seemed to love; to vilified for releasing a trailer for a Metroid 3DS game.

How quickly things change.

Well this is one of the most disgusting reactions I've ever seen to a game reveal. Looks like it's about to surpass the original Operation Rainfall in signatures. Good thing Nintendo listens to their fans as proven by the "success" of that campaign, so that this game can cease to exist and NLG's two years of work can go to waste entirely. That is a positive outcome for this situation.

Yeah the treehouse showing was decent. Seems to be pretty fun And next level games made the well loved Luigi's Mansion 2/DM and Punch-Out Wii. It could actually turn out to be rather good, even though it's not Metroid as we know it

Why would people petition to cancel a game? Sure it's not what people might have wanted but there's no point cancelling something which people have been working on in a knee-jerk reaction because it isn't your cup of tea.

I'm sure it will be fun overall, Next Level are a talented bunch. People will be less salty about the lack of a real Metroid eventually :)

In all fairness I think that Animal Crossing Wii U reveal was one of the worst things they previewed.

That's silly. Why so much hate for an eshop game? It's not like it's a full release or anything.

This game is already dead before launch, why not try the game as a new IP? I guess they had no hopes for it selling itself so instead the put metroid prime on it thinking it will get more attention and sales, but based on the reactions the game is going to flop.
