this makes me want to spend another 150 hours playing FF7, 'nuff said.

Did the e3 conferences get too big or what? I mena thinking of some epic reactions, the first comes to mind is Twilight Princess. you watch that and its like people are flipping balls, crying, jumping, ect. This announcement was about the same as for any decent game shown .


I watched in the theater.  Let me tell you everyone went apeshit. And then when Shemue 3 appeaed right after... Man it was unreal.

Cause it's a highly anticipated game that millions have been asking for for years?  And we don't know what other platforms it will be coming to.  Sony and SE may not be doen working that out.  Might just be PC.  Even if it does come to XBO, that'll be at least 6 months to a year down the line.  It will have already sold millions (even if it's just good, not great) on the PS4 and created a big bump for HW sales.  While the XBO will see a slight HW bump and maybe 1M-2M in sales.

Plus, do Xbox gamers care about FF? FF has always sold much better on PS. 

See thats the thing.  No one care if Xbox owners don't want it.  We also don't care if they get it or not.  This is something Sony's base has wanted for years and its coming.  Try to see it from that perspective.

Yes, Xbox gamers do care for Final Fantasy since they claimed that FFXIII coming to the X360 was a megaton. And it's a FFVII remake. Big difference here.

Well it wasn't a megaton, cause FFXII only ended up selling 2.1m on the 360. I wouldn't call that a megaton.

So I am assuming Sony still has some control over where FF VII goes, so it will probably not expand platforms? Though maybe Sony's control ended this year which allows SE to put the game on any platform. Or maybe Sony has 20-year rights and they end in 2017, which is when the game will come out and one year later SE (2018) will be free to publish on any platform it likes. SE was holding off the remake until it could cast a wide platform net. Maybe they are even waiting for Wii U to be replaced so they can put it on Nintendo as well, (again 2018 is looking good for a new Nintendo console that has equal or better specs than PS4bone, and no gamepad).

For once ethomaz, I see the appropriate use of the word. Announcement of the FF7 remake made everything explode.
Since Nomura is directing this, I wonder what will happen to KH3? I'm assuming that development on the remake just began recently, perhaps around the time Noumra was dropped from FFXV. Or maybe it started earlier, and that is part of the reason behind FFXV taking 10 years?
At any rate, I am very excited for this, but I cannot see this arriving anytime soon.

So FF7 remake - coming to other platforms, they would have said console exclusive if it were.
Shenmue 3- ~ 2.5-4 years away.

I guess thats cool?

I wasn't referring to sales. I was referring to the announcement such as this is also an announcement. Context, Baby. Don't change it just because the counter-points to yours are reasonable and more than plausible.
