I think you are the one missing the point. You're telling people thier criticisms of Ubi's conference are irrelevant in this here thread about Ubi's conference. If your statement had nothing to do with the conference, it was off-topic, and deceptively so since you didn't explicitly say you weren't talking about their conference, again in this here thread exclusively discussing their conference.
