Forums - Nintendo - Did the Smash bros leak pretty much kill the hype of Roy/Ryu for you?

no it didn't ruin the surprise for me nor the excitement. I'm just happy to have Roy back for the most part, and I'll be happy to experiment with Ryu. I'll have a 3DS first so i'll play it on there first.

on a personal note why have to good guys like Falco and Fox on there and not have wolf? Falco sucks anyway, but I do like his style for some strange reason. BRING BACK 🐺 !!!!

Though I don't want any more Smash Bros news this E3 personally (I think they took care of that in their direct today) It really wouldn't surprise me if there were.

No?

It did me, especially with the videos it had shown. We had already seen Roy and Ryu in action, we seen the Mii Fighter costumes... We really got no new information today with the direct due to the leak. Which I know is completely my fault for looking at it. It just killed the hype for me.

That's not true. We learned of two more classic Smash 64 stages being prepared for DLC (Hyrule Castle and Peach's Castle). We learned of more Amiibos (and had official confirmation that all Smash fighters will get Amiibos). We learned about the new Miiverse communities for each Smash character. We learned of Community Tourneys, and Youtube replay sharing.

Mind you, I was quite pleased to see it all, as I had avoided seeing too much. I knew that Ryu and Roy were confirmed, had seen a few screens, but avoided anything detailed. So it was still quite enjoyable to watch.

I'm surprised by how many people it didn't effect. But I'm starting to hate leaks too. And to have leaked video from it, someone went straight ninja on Nintendo.

I thought the thing was that Nintendo accidentally sent out the update in Japan themselves?

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

Yep, this and the Shulk leak would've have had huge reactions across the web on the level of when Sonic was announced for Brawl if they hadn't been spoiled.
It effectively killed any excitement I might have had for the Smash presentation.

True enough I suppose... Still a bit of a letdown to me.

If that didn't do the trick the price sure did

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

True, I never really read where the leak came from. It was supposedly uploaded early, but you couldn't download them but it was datamined for the info by hackers or something.... Hell I don't know.

I actually may have blinded myself into believing that Shulk would still never come. That leak was going on when all those other leaks seemed to get posted.... Which most of them actually happened. (For example Duck Hunt, Shulk, and Ike I think... It was a long time ago.)
