My first message explains very much what I was saying

If Nintendo fans are so willing to buy amiibos, it's pretty obvious they will be diehard enough to pay ridiculous prices for smash dlc.

And as I said in my 2nd msg, the act of buying amiibos. I am not talking about what they reflect, or what they can do. Just buying them.

Yeah, it sort of does seem that way. I couldn't resist getting the characters...

which is perfectly fine if that is your thing.

Though it seems like Nintendo feels they may be able to reach a bit with cetain things. We will need to see how things go going forward.

Agreed. I may like them, but even I have to draw the line sometimes.

i've asked it already in the Nintendo thread. If they have bundle DLC prices, which i think they have. i'm good with the characters but the Mii fighters though. I'm planning to buy Ryu. will check if there is a Ryu, Roy and Lucas + the new stage bundle and maybe save a few $$. i have both 3Ds and Wii U versions so it is somewhat cheaper to buy both than the Wii U version only.

I say yes.

EVEN THOUGH it's cheaper than most fighting games.
Roy/Lucas/Mewtwo should be £2.59 not £3.59 for 1 version.

£1 too much for characters, like 50p too much for mii costumes. Stage is fine at £1.79 since it's old one...

This is why Tekken is awesome its the last fighting game without any DLC

Sadly, there is none at the moment. That would have been great... : (

Well, Nintendo can always put sales or lower the price if its not selling well, but they cant increase the price.

that is sad. all in all, it seems that there would be an SF, Megaman and Tekken(Pokken) game for Wii U.  Should have just been Heihachi itself not a Mii Heihachi. i wanted an SF game for the home console but since PS have it time exclusive, i hope they'll release it for Wii U next year. but still my expectations is low.

going back to DLC, hope no more DLCs. or just push for free DLCs. Smash is already great and adding these content pushes additional $ for nintendo and maybe attract additonal buyers of the console perhaps.

I honestly don't think it's too expensive. They're just sticking with the other fighters that have very expensive DLC. Dead or Alive is super expensive.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

If you don't count Tekken Revolution.
But yeah, Harada's policy for Tag 2 was no paid DLC for core elements of the game. (Characters, stages, moves.)

Tekken Revolution was a free to play version of TTT2 with super moves and an extra character: Eliza

And the characters were more like Microtransactions as you could unlock them also for free

Fighting game characters usually start at $5 minimum, and all of them have shoehorned costume DLC. Usually, though, it's for real characters as there is no custom feature like the Miis

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
