 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SONY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is kind of hard to predict what kind of stuff Sony has up their sleeve, but I will give it my best shot. First of all, I think there will be an announcement for some kind of DLC for Bloodborne. I also think that it is reasonable to expect a solid showing of Uncharted 4 gameplay. I hope to see some details about Street Fighter V, because that is a really good franchise and a very important one. I hope to see some gameplay of it, and I hope we can see a true evolution in the franchise from SF IV to SF V. I expect to see a bunch of multiplats shown, and with at least one of them, there will be some kind of time exclusivity associated with it. I also expect to see a segment of how Sony has all these beloved franchises, and so they are going to offer remasters of some of the best titles to PS4 users who haven't had a chance to play them. These would include Ratchet and Clank, God of War 3, and the Uncharted Collection. I also think that at some point, there is going to be a 30 to 45 minute segment dedicated to TV, sports, and how good the PS4 is at connecting people with eachother and how great the community and the fans are.
Yet you don't mention that Sony's going to blow everyone's socks out by announcing "The Last Guardian. (Facepalm)
Edit: Sorry for the editing ( at least how it's on my screen ) VGChartz + Phone = Error
Dedicating my time to what? I know you have been an active member on this site for qutie some time, why would it surprise you to see a somewhat long description on what I would expect to see at this year's e3? Are you implying that I should have better things to do? well yeah, I guess that could be said for every single one of us here. I don't see what your point is, you're going to have to be a little more direct with me, because I am not going to sit here and make assumptions.
The point is that you expect Sony to announce no new games, talk about non gaming stuff for at least a quarter of their show and that they are going to announce more remasters at their show, while otherwise focusing on multiplats.
Or to say it more clearly: You expect them to have a shitty show.
i didnt say they were going to announce more remasters, i said they were going to talk about the ones that they have already. and i think their focus is going to be partnering with third parties in the same way they partnered with Bunjie when it came to Destiny. I think we will see something similar to that since it worked out so well last time. Let's wait and see how much time they spend talking about non gaming related stuff. They can afford to do that, and it will work to expand their audience, so I think they will spend a decent amount of time on it compared to MS. A lot of stuff has been leaked leading up to this next week, you know that. I don't know how much that is new we are going to be seeing from the Sony and Microsoft camp.
Your MS interpretation is quite contradictory. For me before Phil Spencer MS was going in the way of making the Xbox One unique. Now it looks more like they are following where the gamers are going and thus with a delay. The pathetic intervention of Phil at the Oculus conference is the best exemple.
Conserning the sony part, you completely forgot Morpheus, even though Shu already said that they will dedicate a big part of the show for it and instead talk about TV and sports. When did Sony ever talk about sports in any of its conference? It's usually more something that MS would have done in the past.
Regarding the surprise that you are waiting for, has you discribe it, it would probably come from Media Molecule unannounced game but I expect it more to be reveal at the Paris Games Week. The surprise of this E3 will be Horizon. And TLG of course ;)
There's no point in this. I haven't reported anything in here but someone will, although it's a bit more clever, the OP is the same old thing.
I'm not interested in having any more discussions if you're going to play this time (again).
again, i really have no idea what you're trying to say here. What am I playing? Seriously, if you're not going to be clear or direct in what you're saying to me, then yes, by all means leave because these posts you're making serve no purpose.
Are we really going to see TLG this time? Well, we wont have to wait much longer to find out. "TV and sports" kind of encompasses nongaming related stuff, which Sony has dedicated time to their previous shows.
I can see what you're saying about MS, and before Phil, the X1 was very unique, yes, but it was not good... not good at all. I think what I mean is that Phil wants to make it more unique in a good way. But I see how since he took over, it has become more like a PS4 and has strayed very far from what the original vision of the console was. I mean unique in terms of the kinds of games it will support. I think that is what he is going for.
I don't think anything from Sonys E3 has actually leaked aside from the Horizon concept art which leaked months ago, besides that TLG is pretty heavily rumoured but to a degree that happens every year.
Gaf insiders have essentially been saying that this E3 is going to be the best in years (for Sony as well as for the whole show) so to discount them is a big mistake.
Ps4 :
What will be there without a doubt, confirmed by serious journalists or shinobi :
- Horizon from Guérilla
- a game from média molécule, official
- a game from Level 5, official
- The Last Guardian, confirmed by Gamekult( second most popular vidéo game website in France, they say they have intern sources and are very serious about that , they would killer their réputation on a mistake ) so it will be there
Spéculation :
- Sony Bend game, its a very advanced project so IR could appear at any moment
- some localisations ( star océan, tales of,... )
- Exclusive Sega game according to some insider on gaffe
- God Of War IV announcement
- Gran Turismo Sports
,- Dragon Quest XI
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m
maybe ill raise my expectations a bit, but i was really blown away by how bad the conference was last year. I know some people thought it was good, but I thought it was terrible. If it is going to be more like what you are saying, then I will make a thread dedicated to how wrong I was.
edit: i know how dumb it sounds to base my expectations on this conference on last year's conference, but i feel like ever since Sony has secured a tight grip on the lead, they haven't been as aggressive compared to when they were struggling with the PS3.
They'll be a lot of third party and VR talk, but in terms of pure announcements I'd say Sony is contesting for the spot of best conference among the big 3.
New UC4 gameplay
New SFV characters
GG's new IP
Level 5s new game (hopefully Ni No Kuni 2)
the way things are looking TLG
maybe more about Persona 5 (fingers crossed for a 2015 release date)
maybe more on Rime and NMS (release dates for those 2 as well hopefully)
maybe a new GT
maybe the new IP from Bend/MM
maybe a new game from GG Cambridge as well
the way things are going, maybe a new japanese exclusive from Sega, Capcom or SE
I feel like I'm forgetting something, but there's massive potential in that conference.
Yeah I don't really get how anyone can take this line of thinking seriously in regards to Sony's possibilities this year at E3, or even act like they can't have anything new to announce at the event and release this Fall.
I mean it's been outright stated by Level 5 that they have a brand new game to announce for PS4 (they haven't mentioned any other platforms, so it's assumed to be an exclusive), Level 5 have even stated themselves that they're going for something bigger than White Knight Chronicles.
Obviouslty Guerrilla Games are heavily rumored to be announcing their big new IP, which has been in development since Killzone 2 shipped (2009), the first time they mentioned a new IP was in 2010.
If Sony didn't have anything new then they wouldn't have announced the release dates for Tearaway Unfolded, Until Dawn, shown the initial gameplay reveal for Ratchet & Clank, locked down when Kill Strain will launch (Summer), along with showing a brand new build of the game through Twitch, Drawn to Death even had it's 1st Twitch stream with new gameplay shown and Characters announced.
We've been told that both Media Molecule and Quantic Dream have new IPs in development, both of those titles would be roughly 4 years into development by now.
Sony Bend has a new IP as well, that began development in either 2011 or 2012.
Guerrilla Games has 2 teams in Amsterdam, one of them is making Horizon, the other team shipped Killzone Shadow Fall in late 2013 and Guerrilla has been hiring staff for a while, most likely for Horizon's development, but some could be helping out on another new title.
Guerrilla Cambridge shipped Killzone Mercenary on Vita in late 2013, they've been linked to working on something for PS4, apparently a new game in an established Sony franchise.
Polyphony Digital has been working on GT7 alongside GT6 for quite some time, Kaz Yamauchi recently responded to the rumors that the game wouldn't arrive until 2017 by saying that GT7 would arrive much sooner than that.
The Last Guardian has been mentioned to be getting it's E3 re-reveal this year by numerous podcasts that are connected to actual developers, plus major news outlets have been told that it's definitely happening this year.
Santa Monica Studio shipped Starhawk and Playstation All Stars back in 2012, the developers within that studio may very well be working on new collaborations with smaller studios.
Cory Barlog already outed God of War as being in development at Santa Monica, he's been back at the studio since August 2013, so may have something to surprise people with, despite his jokes otherwise.
Sony London are known to be working on a new PS4 IP, plus Eight Days and The Getaway were never canceled in the end, only placed on hold on PS3, so they could both be PS4 titles now.
Agent was never canceled, another game in longterm limbo that could pop up at any time or be canceled, who knows.
Sony Japan are rumored to have a huge new IP in development, along the lines of a Final Fantasy type game, apparently it's been in the works for a while.
Besides that and The Last Guardian we also have the Knack and Puppeteer guys, who could be working on new games or helping to bring those titles to release sometime soon.
Gravity Rush 2 is rumored to be a PS4 game.
Even if you take out the major long shots (Agent, TLG, 8 Days and The Getaway) there's tonnes to get hyped for, pretty much all of it has been incubating long enough for Sony to basically throw darts at their corkboard of potentials and select a few major things to blow interested Playstation gamers and those on the fence about buying a current gen machine away.
Personally I think new Uncharted 4 gameplay, a reveal of GT7 (Fall 2015 release date), Level 5's game, Bend's and Horizon, with a possible God of War PS4 show ender or if Sony wanted to really blow people's socks off bring the old Catbird and Kid out on PS4, with a Fall release date would be a legendary event!
