Is the movie any good?

I loved it. It's made like a classic blockbuster, fun and emotional with many moments of good humor, and not like a modern empty, pretentious CGI-fest.

I'm glad it overperformed. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

So it's not the biggest friday?

Still, that's deserved imo, saw it tonight, entertaining movie, not far behind the first one for me.

Really? That sounds a lot better than I thought.

The CGI in the trailers and Chris Pratt's motorcycle training with the velociraptors didn't rub me the right way. The velociraptors are some of the most frightening creatures from my childhood.

The raptors are still cool as hell and they've made them to look very similar to those in the original, their involvement in the plot isn't terrific at all times but the dinosaur effects in general are great. The Indominus is downright fantastic imo.

The trailers made it appear to me to be one of the most expensive, God-awful pieces of fei-oo to come out in years.

How the hell did it manage this opening?

Nostalgia, decent word of mouth, plus a nice soft opening period ... Tomorrowland, Mad Max didn't really dominate their periods, so for a lot of people Avengers was the last "big" movie, and that's been a while ago now.

I really enjoyed the film. As someone who's kept up with the movie on r/JurassicPark for over 4 months the film still had lots of surprises and great scenes despite all the TV spots and spoilertalk.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Well deserved, in my opinion. Fantastic movie.

Its a great movie. Well written story and good action/adventure. The last two were pretty bad, this one is much better.

Looking forward to Terminator more though.

I really loved the humor of the movie. Most of the jokes settled well with me and they actually felt genuine, as did the characters. I think I'm gonna go see it again, tbh.

I look forward to seeing the movie, hope it surpasses the first Avengers as biggest opening ever.

Proud to be a Californian.
