If anything, the face buttons should've been put on the the right remote, with a d-pad or an analog stick on the left. This just doesn't look real to me, though.

The catch-it cone part looked dumb on the first Move, but at least the other part had a thumb stick.

There needs to be Move for Morpheus to work, true VR needs a motion controller.
