With the Super Smash Bros. presentation happening in less than 24 hours, and the Ryu/Roy leak craze, I thought it was best to ask this now: Who is your favorite character in Super Smash Bros?

Mine would have to be Marth from Fire Emblem, who made his debut in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

When he first debuted, no one knew who he was, myself included, which made me even more curious to try him out. His elegant swordplay is amazing, being able to pull off amazing stunts with his sword, and the very tip of his sword is extremely satisfying to land with, as it does a lot of damage with a ton of knockback to back it up.

Marth was a beast in both Melee and Brawl, and things like his long range, elegant playstyle, and even his handsome looks are all factors that make me absolutely love Marth as a fighter.

While Marth isn't as great in Smash 3DS/Wii U, his tippers are still pretty powerful, and moves like his back air, down air, and tipper smashes are still satisfying as hell to land with.

I have to agree with Marth as well. Didn't know what fire emblem was and I always liked playing as Samus the most. Then when I heard how great Marth was at competitive play I started trying him out.

Not too long after I finally learned to wavedash in Melee as well as some other grabbing tricks, I was hooked on Meth er Marth.

Every Smash game is different, so my taste differentiates.

My favorite Smash game, Project M: Marth and Fox

64: Mario

Melee: Fox and Marth

Brawl: Lucas

Smash 4: Mario and Ness

I'm not a very competitive player but my favorite and main is Link because I'm a huge Zelda and Smash fan. Stuck with Link since Melee thanks to his OP spin attack and d-air back then. Unfortunately his Spin attack has been nerfed since Brawl along with his d-air attack in Smash 4 (I don't want to meteor smash damn it!) but I still I like his projectile specials. I also like that his forward and up strong attacks are much better KO moves since Brawl and seem even stronger and faster in Smash 4.

Not a big fan of his dash attack even though it's a fun homage to his jump attack. Can't hit foes that are getting up/standing up from the ground like Brawl's and its hit window is pretty small coupled with a long recovery frame from it. Brawl's dash attack was much weaker, but easier to hit with and a better combo starter. 

The Great King of Evil, followed closely by Captain Falcon. And then Falco at a distant third.


The rest of the cast serves as fillers as far as I'm concerned.

I am great with the Pokemon Trainer, but it's not avalible anymore, and Charizard alone is too slow for my taste :(
