Surprised it is only 10 years old, they have certainly got a lot of games out in that time.

Pretty sad that sega still doesnt want to develop a shenmue 3 but yakuza games, how wouldnt be a Shenmue 3 not profitable?

Great sales, I hope its enough to localize Yakuza 0 to the west.

I know Yakuza 5 is suppose to be localized later this year (hopefully its still happening) but unfortunately its just on PSN, wish it came in physical copy.

More money was probably spent on Shenmue 1 and 2 than all 9(?) Yakuza games.

At the very least I wish they would remaster Shenmue 1 and 2 so they could be on PS3, PS4, 360, X1 and PC so they would be on platforms people actually own. Yakuza atleast had the benefit of being available to the Playstation audience.

yet the games pretty much are similiar. back then shenmue was very expnesive and unique at the time, remember the game came out in japan in 1999 when gta was still 2D.

Oh, I remember. I got Shenmue for Christmas and imported Shenmue 2 from Europe (that cost $80 in 2001). They were amazing at the time.

I played through Yakuza 1 and 2 hoping it had some of the magic of Shenmue... but it wasn't quite there.
