5:43 PM - 11 Jun 2015

Two winners from the original Nintendo World Championships in 1990 will be returning to attend this year’s tournament. Jeff Hansen and Thor Aackerlund are Nintendo’s guests of honor for the upcoming event, which is set to kick off on June 14. One of the games that will be played during the tournament is the NES classic The Legend of Zelda, which will challenge participants to speedrun from the beginning of the game to the end of the first dungeon.

That's pretty cool they could get those guys as guests.

Hopefully they'll bring their NWC cartridges (they better still have those >:-| ) and show them to the world so we can all drool over it...

lol, that'd be epic as hell!

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
