And I say give this movie a chance. It's not nearly as bad as you claim it is, in my opinion, because it has many masterfully executed moments in an atmosphere as tense and creepy as the one in The Shining.

P.S.: I would be delighted to be shown a list of recent horror movies better than It Follows.

the babadook, sinister, what we do in the shadows, Coherence (not catalogue as horror but definitely more horror than this) It follows it's not nearly as bad, but best horror movie in a while? maybe for starbucks fans.

All horror movies will go downhill now that the great Christopher Lee can't star in them. :(

Sinister is already 3 years old, wouldn't call it recent, while the other 2 aren't true horror movies. The babadook was good indeed, but if that's all you got, you have to admit that It Follows is indeed one of the better horror movies released recently .

Never heard of it but horror is not really my genre. Plus there are probably more bad horror movies then any bad movies in any other genre comedy is probably a close second though.

I don't watch modern day horror movies and i'm a teenager. They are trash.

but... I don't like it! I'm being honest

Pretty bad script, very good everything else. So a bit of an odd one.

Coherence was.....interesting.  I wouldn't necessarily say it was good.  From what I understand, it was shot with no script and no set.  It was also shot with no logic.  I mean there was a part where the guy was like "There's another group of people that *spoiler* *spoiler*?  Let's go kill them before they kill us!"  I was like, what the fuck!?  That was a hell of a leap in logic!

Enjoyed trying to figure out what was going on but I don't know if I could recommend it.

OT:  I watched "It Follows" last night.  I fell asleep.

There aren't many. Doesn't mean It Follows isn't bad.

Darn I saw the RT score a while ago and have been excited to see it. Will probably still check it out on redbox.
