Why can't certain things just remain the same? Like seriously? There are just certain stories that should stick with certain genders. You don't see people asking for a "Prince Peach" who is Mario's best friend. You don't see people demanding for a Brunonetta instead of Bayonetta. I personally don't care what gender a character is, if its a new game, but if its a series that is decades old just let it be classic feeling. Link should stay male, Zelda should stay female, and the protagonist can switch between genders depending on the game (as has been done in the series for years).

It's just Hyrule Warriors.

Each Link is a different person, a different character. Not to mention Link doesn't even speak so the character change wouldn't be such a vast difference over changing peach of bayonetta into a dude.

Given Zelda has an alternate universe where Link is a money-grubbing coward and an alternate universe where he is a dead failure, I don't understand the aversion to an alternate universe where the hero is female.

Hey I'd totally be up for Prince Peach! I mean, have you seen Prince Bubblegum and Marshall Lee from Adventure time?

I might have to fan art now....

I sure hope a female Link isn't the reason Zelda WiiU got delayed just so they could fit in a female story

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

That'd be pretty interesting, and I can totally see that happening.

Nintendo can use this to gauge the reception for a female link.
