To twist what people say, ignore what they say, and having a fit is the hallmark of immaturity. Nostalgia is a huge part of why adults enjoy cartoony games, like it or not. No one is seeking validation through M-rated content. If you bothered to actually read you'd see I have said already that the rating has nothing to do with it. You can have a game that appeals to adults, that gives an adult perspective that doesn't have an M-rating. Quit trying to twist this into a discussion about rating. It is about having games and content that appeals to the adult perspective without relying on nostalgia, that's not cartoony, cheesy, or oversexed. It's not too much to ask and it's why Xb and PS are doing so much better than Nintendo and why 3rd party developers that actually create that kind of content are running away from Nintendo in droves.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

And when has Nintendo ever relied on oversexualization?

I know exactly what it means. Same can't be said about you as you've already expressed trouble following along, tho you were close to understanding. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nostalgia

Since you have trouble understanding what nostalgia means let me lay it out for you. "a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one's life, to one's home or homeland, or to one's family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time:" I.E. when something evokes memories and feelings from your childhood that make you want to be a kid again.

Now that we have covered your first misunderstanding "When has Nintendo ever relied on oversecualization" I take it you've never played Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2..Of course I already addressed this earlier. Why you continue to fail to read is beyond me.

Nintendo didn't originally publish the first Bayonetta. I don't get what you mean: is a non-sexual, rated M game that's a new IP the only way that you can consider the game to be "non-nostalgic"? Devil's Third is a new IP, and is rated M is that also somehow nostalgia based?

thats pretty...useless lol

Why would Ubisoft develop ZombiU for PS4/XboxOne if they claimed the game has bombed hard on WiiU (it hasn´t actually)?
Without a controller with a touchscreen, ZombiU will lose most, if not all, of its main features.
At best, I don´t see it as a retail release, maybe a digital release only.

There is nothing about "cartoony" games that means they cannot appeal to adults. Nothing whatsoever. Adults can find bright colours appealing, as well as clean language and elegant simplicity. An adult does not require anything inappropriate for children to be entertained.

Splatoon appeals to me and many other Nintendo gamers not because of any nostalgic association but because we enjoy it now, as our adults selves. I wasn't even raised on Disney or squirt guns, so your inference there is flat-out incorrect.

Why do you continue to fail to read, and continue to try and twist what is said? I never said cartoony games cannot appeal to adults. Fact is they only appeal to adults because of nostalgia. You can deny this fact all you want and you can even lie to yourself and lie to me it doesn't change that fact. Also don't be mistaken you are absolutely lying. You were exposed to Disney as a child, you were exposed to squirt guns. I even bet you were exposed to Nickelodeon. So not only am I absolutely correct but the fact that you have to lie about your childhood which lets face it you are, you weren't raised in a cave with no access to the outside world until you were an adult. It proves how weak your argument is and truly how immature you are. You've not only lost the argument but you've thrown out any and all credibility.

So how would Splatoon be apart of anybody's childhood? And who says that your version of nostalgia is the only reason a Nintendo game can appeal to an adult? Nostalgia isn't neccessary for an adult to find something appealing.

I really don't have any misunderstanding at all but it seems you do which was pointed out in The Yoda's previous comment to you.

I own and have played Bayonetta 1 and 2 on my Wii U and in case you didn't know Bayonetta is not owned by Nintendo at all. Do you have any examples of oversexualization by Nintendo at all?

We were also exposed to violence when we were young, so by that logic we only like games with violence because of nostalgia.

You're making the mistake of assuming everyone shares your idea of "maturity". Just because you cannot enjoy cartoonish except through the lens of nostalgia, does not mean the rest of us can't.

You should go back and read. I'll say it again rating has nothing to do with it. All games have some nostalgia, that can't be helped, especially if you've played games all your life. So you can't have a game that is completely "non-nostalgic". BTW no idea why you quoted that, I never said "non-nostalgic" You can have a game that is not nostalgia-centric. I.E. sacrificing story telling, character development, and relate-ability in the name of nostalgia much like what splatoon does, what Devil's third does which is basically what farcry 4 dlc blood dragon did. It's fine to have some games that do this but when every single one does it then it gets old fast. Which is what Nintendo has been doing with just about every game with Zombie U being an exception.
